Despres trade for Morrow and Umberger ---VETO

Let me explain:

Everyone is aware that Lou has been in last place pretty much the entire year.
Everyone is aware that Lou is the stingiest GM (used loosely), and very difficult to deal with.
Everyone is aware that Lou over values his players.
Everyone is aware that Lou has many injuries, namely to his forwards.
Everyone is aware that Lou thinks he has the best/deepest D in the league.
Everyone is aware that Lou is Greek buddies with Angelo.
Everyone is aware that Lou despises that fact that I currently hold 3rd place and Tom 1st.
Everyone is aware that Lou would love nothing more then securing the 1st pick in the draft.

WHICH LEADS ME TO THIS:

GREEK COLLUSION

Umberger is coming off 55pt and 57 pt seasons. He currently has 22 pts, on a team where most players are having bad years. He is 29 yrs, and has several yrs left in the league.
Morrow has seen his best years behind him, but still can be productive. He is coming off a 56 pt season and currently has 22 pts, in a yr where he has suffered injuries. He is 33 yrs and still has a few productive years ahead of him.

Despres is in his 1st yr. He has pts in 14 games. Despres isn't anything anyone in the NHL talks about. Yes he is a 1st rnd pick in 09', 30 th overall mind you, but many 1st rndrs never amount to anything.

OVERALL the trade does NOT make sense for LOU other then he has a better chance at securing the 1st pick, by removing 2 forwards who are in his starting line up. He only has McDonald to insert from his reserves who is playing. For ANGELO this trade makes sense. He is trying to catch Tom, and stay ahead of me. He has absolutely no depth, but with this trade picks up 2 50 + point guys for absolutely nothing. All he has is the brittle Connelly in his reserves for forwards to sub in, BUT with this trade, adds two more useful forwards.

All in all, this trade needs to be vetoed!

He has played 24 NHL games with Ottawa and 2 NHL games with Phoenix totaling 26 NHL games.
