So to me it looks like Newbs is trying to put a D in for a F or a F in for a D, I'm still not clear what happened (Newbs feel free to jump in here) but if that is the case then obviously that can't happen or if it can we need to adjust the rule.

If you don't have enough players for a position then you play without anyone. Your 1 - 2 - 3 players short or whatever the number is. Draft accordingly and make sure you have enough players to insert in case of injuries
